The full form of ITBP is Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Headquarter of ITBP in New Delhi. Mr Rajnath Singh is the Union Home Minister of India. The total number of Jawans in ITBP is 89432. ITBP was established on 26th October 1962, under the CRPF ACT. Parliament of India passed the Constitution and Regulation of “ITBP” to safeguard India’s borders in September 1996 on the ITBPF (Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force) Act 1992.
